About Slimkinq

Slimkinq is a small review site for online worlds where you build, hold and defend something: cities, villages, islands, empires. All of them run in a web page. Three of us write it, and between us we have ruled, lost and abandoned more browser kingdoms than we would like to count.

The name

Slim, because the list is deliberately short and the site has no clutter. Kinq, because every one of these worlds hands you a crown and then quietly tests whether you deserve it. The spelling is ours; the domain was available and the word was not taken.

What gets a seat

• Runs in a normal web browser with nothing to install.
• Free to register and to rule properly. A shop is fine; a paywall on the core loop is not.
• No real-money gambling of any kind. We do not cover casino, slot or betting products and never will.
• Live for at least a year with an active English-speaking community.

How we are paid

The "Rule it" buttons are affiliate links. Sign up through one and the publisher may pay us a small commission, which covers hosting. Publishers cannot buy a seat, do not see a verdict before publication and have never been offered a higher one for anything. Verdicts are locked before links are added, and a realm that falls below 7.0 on re-test loses its seat whatever the link earns.

Sittings

Four a year. Realms keep their seat while they hold their verdict. We do not keep old sittings online because an out-of-date review is worse than none.
